Winsor & Newton Designers Gouache colours, available in 90 colours, is a range of brilliant opaque water colours for designers, visualisers, illustrators and fine artists. The range is made by selecting only the very best pigments and highest grade of gums and wetting agents to produce colours with an even flow, exceptional tinting strength and which give a matt finish. These qualities make Designers Gouache Colour so superior to any ordinary gouache or poster colour that they are the most widely used range throughout the world. Originally the range was developed with the needs of designers very much in mind; but recently, many professional and leisure artists have found Designers Gouache ideal for a variety of techniques requiring delicacy of tone or as an opaque water colour. The versatility of Designers Gouache means that it can be used with brush, airbrush and ruling pen on most types of paper and board. As the colours are water soluble, they can also be mixed with other water colours to produce further combinations of opacity and transparency.
